About Simara College

Simara College was established in 2060 B.S. by the collaborative effort of devoted educationists, scholars and social activists of this society. Prior to the establishment of the college, the students had to go away from the house in order to gain the university education. It wasn’t possible to all the students since they belonged to different economic classes. Many girls were also deprived of graduate education as their parents were unwilling to send them away from the house to have education showing different social and cultural reasons. As a result, the people felt the necessity of the college in their locality. A seven-day long Shreemad Bhagwat Gyan Mahayagya was organized to collect the fund for the college. The college raised the fund of 26 Lakhs and 11 Kattha (acres) of land by it. It is the milestone for the establishment of the college.

Simara College is a community-based college which is governed and managed by the community established in 2060. It has been recognized as a leading academic center in its short history. It has a college management committee as an executive body which is solely authorized to form and implement policies and programs in the interest of college and society. It consists of members from different fields of society such as social activists, academicians, administrators, and donors, representatives of different organizations like Village Development Committee, Federation of Nepal Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Simara & Shree Nepal Rastriya Secondary School, Simara.

The quality education and fair examination are the motto of this institution. In its short history it has become able to produce qualitative manpower who can cope the challenges of the modern world and has been recognized as a leading academic center in the mid Terai region. It has a set of qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty members and efficient staffs.

In its short history, it has been recognized as a leading academic center for the multi-dimensional development of the students through typical instructional approaches and techniques. It lies in an accessible, peaceful area with own compounded building. It has approximately 600 students in Management Faculty (Bachelor and Master’s Degree) and Education Faculty (Bachelor Degree). The main objectives of this college are to fulfil the needs of the students and society that they have expected from the academic institution and to produce qualified manpower who can easily cope the challenges of the modern world and grab the opportunities as concerned to their both inside and outside of their home. Here, we do not claim we are the best but we are striving to produce qualified set citizens to lead the society of 21 century.
